INGENIOUS LAMINATING FORM

LOCATION: Quakertown, PAThe photo at left shows a laminating form I devised of MDF and 2-in. foam building insulation. The other photo (below) shows the finished plywood lamination, fresh off the form and ready for veneer.
The lamination consists of two layers of 3/8-in. bending ply with a layer of veneer in the middle. The grain of the veneer runs perpendicular to the grain of the bending ply. This veneer layer is what keeps the bending ply from springing back after it's removed from the vacuum bag.
