AUCTION INSTRUCTIONS

    Welcome to our Benefit Auctions messageboard. As you probably know, WoodCentral is a visitor-supported website. We can't rely on advertising revenues alone to keep the lights on. The Benefit Auctions messageboard is where you can help support WoodCentral by offering items for sale to the highest bidder, with some or all of the proceeds going to WoodCentral. Here is how the auction procedure works...

    TO OFFER SOMETHING FOR AUCTION: Please post a complete description of the item to be auctioned. Only one item per message thread, please, unless several items are to be auctioned together as a single lot. Post photos with your offering if possible. Make sure to stipulate the date and time when the bidding will be closed.
    If you have a reserve price for the item, please state that price as the minimum opening bid. If you know the approximate or exact mailing/shipping cost, include that in your reserve price. Otherwise, make it clear that shipping will be added to the final winning bid. If you wish to donate only a portion of the proceeds to WoodCentral, we will remit the remainder plus any shipping charges to you at the conclusion of the auction.

    TO BID ON AN ITEM: Post your bid in a reply to the original offer message. It is sufficient to simply type your bid amount into the "subject" box of the message form. Do not post your bid as a reply to another bid. Post a new reply if you want to increase your bid.

    IF YOU WIN: When the auction closing date/time is reached, the donor will close the auction with a final reply on the auction board announcing the winner, and he/she will contact you by e-mail that you have won the bidding and request the shipping address to which you would like to have the item shipped. We accept three kinds of payment:
1) Send a check or money order for the amount of your winning bid to:
      WoodCentral, P.O. Box 493, Springtown, PA 18081;
2) call toll-free 1-877-933-4637 (during business hours) to pay with your credit card; or
3) send your PayPal payment to donations@woodcentral.com.
Once your payment has been received, we will notify the donor to ship the item to you.
