CALL FOR ENTRIES

America's Top Shops Contest
Contest Deadline: November 15, 2008
Official Contest Entry Rules

How to enter:
This is strictly an online competition. All entries must be made electronically on our special contest entry pages. No mailed entries will be accepted. Limit one entry per contestant.

Your entry will consist of:
  • your contact information (name, address, phone number and e-mail address)
  • minimum of three (3), maximum of five (5), digital images of your shop and/or shop features that you wish to submit for judging
  • text descriptions to go with the photos
  • a secure online payment of the entry fee

The photos should show all the important features of your shop ideas. Images must be in JPG (JPEG), GIF, TIF (TIFF) or BMP format, with a maximum file size of 10Mb. Don't worry about the physical size (in pixels) of the images; our software will size them automatically for judging and display to the public. Photos should be at least 500 pixels on the longer dimension for clarity. Photos of 800 - 1000 pixels on the long dimension are even better. Digital drawings of your shop floor plan are welcome. These may be drawn on the computer and saved in one of the formats listed above, or they may be hand drawn and either photographed or scanned to digital format. If you don't have the skills or the facilities to convert your shop drawings to digital image format, please e-mail the administrator for assistance.

The text descriptions that accompany your images should explain your design intent and anything else that would help to inform the judges' decisions, including hidden attributes, construction methods and/or special features that may not be visible from the photos.

After you have composed your entry, you will be able to preview your entry and make adjustments if necessary, but once you have submitted your entry and paid the entry fee, no further editing will be allowed. Questions or problems may be addressed to the contest administrator.
