How to enter:
This is strictly an online
competition. All entries must be made electronically on our special contest entry pages. No mailed entries will be accepted. Limit one entry per contestant.
Your entry will consist of:
your contact information (name, address, phone number and e-mail address)
dimensions of your entry
materials used in your entry
minimum of three (3), maximum of five (5), digital photos of your entry
descriptions to go with the photos
a secure online payment of the entry fee after you've uploaded your entry. We use PayPal to process contest fees, but Visa, MasterCard, AmericanExpress and Discover cards may also be used.
Photos are very important, as they are the primary basis for judging your entry. They should show your ornament from all relevant angles. NOTE: For this contest, we also REQUIRE a close-up photo that clearly shows the surface quality of your finished ornament. You may include process photos if they will enhance the judge's understanding or appreciation of your accomplishment. Images must be in JPG (or JPEG), GIF, TIF (or TIFF) or BMP format, with a maximum file size of 10Mb. Don't worry about the physical size (in pixels) of the images; our software will size them automatically for judging and display to the public. Photos should be at least 800 pixels on the longer dimension for clarity. Larger photos are welcome.
The descriptions should explain your techniques, design notes and anything else that would help to inform the judges' decisions, including hidden attributes or special features that may not be visible from the photos.
After you have finished uploading your entry, you will be able to preview it and make adjustments if necessary, but once you have submitted your entry and paid the entry fee, no further editing will be allowed. You may contact the contest administrator if you encounter any difficulties in the online entry process.
